Old school comic annuals - think Jackie....so cute

I was in some pub loos the other day, as you do, and caught sight of some clippings from comic annuals that had been stuck to the wall. It got me thinking back to my 12 year old days reading Jackie and Archie. Think i'm going to collect a few for old times sake. I'm not even sure this is a comic annual, but loved the look of it...

Contemporary Embroidery - Anne Kyyro Quinn

Trying to write a post about embroidery involves me thinking I should be using 13th century English, so quaint is my idea of embroidery so I was pretty floored when I first saw Anne Kyyro Quinn's designs. Her 3D embroidery is fresh, avantgarde and gives an original take on what you can do with fabric and stitching.
